Let me take the honour and pleasure of writing a foreword for this Prospectus of the session 2020-21 containing admission related information of various academic programmes run through DistanceEducation Mode in this prestigious university. Aligning with the government’s vision of ensuringinclusive education, imparting higher education to the unreached at their doorsteps, the Directorateof Distance Education has made significant progress by providing quality learning, efficient studentsupport system, variety of academic programmes and number of students spread over length andbreadth of the country since its inception in the year 2014. It is pertinent to mention here that theprogrammes being offered are designed with the market requirements creating new jobopportunities in India and abroad. The professional post graduate, degree and diploma programmesoffered through Distance Education are broadly in sync with the mission of the university “tofacilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on newfrontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources andmanagement studies and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields.
